Services for Wallace Mason Skinner, a Dallas developer, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church in Dallas. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mr. Skinner died of an apparent heart attack Feb. 14 while golfing at a California country club. He was 81.
Mr. Skinner, a native of Boston, graduated from Brown University in 1932 with a bachelor’s degree in economics. He was a member of the university’s football and basketball teams.
As a lieutenant commander in the Navy, he participated in the North African campaign during World War II. He came to Dallas in 1939.
Mr. Skinner’s career spanned several decades in oil drilling and real estate development and investment. He divided his time between Dallas and California.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Irion Skinner of Dallas; a brother, Oscar E. Skinner of Providence, R.I.; two daughters, Bonnie Lee Levy and Terry Tucker Ford, both of Dallas; and a granddaughter.
The family suggests sending memorials to a charity.
