Ross Fike Jr. (December 29, 1915 – December 22, 1992)

FIKE – Ross Fike, 76, of Penn Township, died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 1992, in Veterans Hospital, Highland Drive, Pittsburgh. He was born Dec. 29, 1915, in Pitcairn, a son of the late Ross Sr. and Jane Bevan Fike. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Pitcairn. He was a retired fitter for Westinghouse Electric Corporation, East Pittsburgh works. He was a World War II veteran and a member of the American Legion Post in Manor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Smith Fike, May 11, 1992, and a son, Robert Fike, in 1955. He is survived by a son, James R. Fike of Trafford; four daughters, Judy Schwarzel of Delmont, Susan L. Webb of Penn, Lynn L. Iddings of Pitcairn, and Lori A. Brown of Penn Township; a brother, Ralph Fike of East Keesport; three sisters, Dorothy Maines of North Huntingdon, Betty Linn of Pitcairn, and Lelia Shugars of Punxsutawney; 13 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Friends will be received at DAVID A. RITTER FUNERAL HOME, 220 Edgewood Ave., Trafford, Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment in the Penn Lincoln Memorial Park, North Huntingdon.
