Maurice Nicholas Huard, 87, of Proctor died at home Saturday, February 16, 2013.
He was born to Joseph and Leontine (Moquin) Huard in Cloquet, MN. Maurice was united in marriage to Darlene Locke September 11, 1948, 64 years ago.
Maurice was a proud Navy Veteran and served in WWII. He was a railroad electrician for DM&IR, retiring in 1985. Maurice was very active in his church, St. Rose Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Legion of Mary and a Knight of Columbus. The three most important things in his life were his Lord, his family, and his country.
He is preceded in death by his parents; three sons, Paul, Michael, and Stephen; eight brothers; and two sisters.
Maurice is survived by his wife, Darlene; children, Bill (Vickie) Huard, Daniel (Lorna) Huard, Mary (Chris) Pavlovich, Nancy (Patrick) Roberts, Julie (Chris) Hussey; 18 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, February 22, 2013 at 10 a.m. at St. Rose Catholic Church, Proctor. Visitation Thursday 4-7 p.m. at Bell Brothers Funeral Home, 601 N 56th Ave. W with Rosary at 6 p.m. Interment at New Calvary Cemetery in Cloquet.
