John Pelle Sr. (November 18, 1914 – December 8, 1963)

CLIFTON (NJ) – John Pelle Sr., 49, of 24 Orange Ave., died yesterday after a long illness. Born in Italy, he came to the United States 33 years ago, settling in Manhattan and The Bronx before moving to Clifton 17 years ago. He had worked for National Standard Steel for four years, and for the Textile Corp. of Clifton for 16 years before that. He was a member of St. John Kanty, R. C. Church and The Athenia Veterans’ Post.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Doviak Pelle; two sons, John Jr., with the Air Force in Bermuda, and Gary of Clifton and two daughters, Miss Diane and Miss Annmarie Pelle of Clifton; his father, Pasquale Pelle of The Bronx, and two sisters, Mrs. Frank (Anna) McGrane of Brooklyn and Mrs. Joseph (Rose) Fabio of The Bronx.
The funeral will be held Wednesday.

John Pelle Sr. is buried in St. Michael’s Episcopal Church Memorial Garden in Wayne, New Jersey.
